Noémie, an impetuous 15-year-old girl, has been living in a youth center for three years. When she loses all hope of being taken back by her mother, Noémie runs away from the center in search of landmarks and freedom. She will join her friend Léa, a former member of the centre, who introduces her to a gang of delinquents. Soon, she falls in love with the flamboyant Zach who turns out to be a pimp. A clever strategist with ambiguous romantic feelings, Zach encourages Noémie to prostitute herself. Recalcitrant at first, Noémie said yes.

Critiques

Geneviève Albert does us a favor with her first feature film, Noémie dit oui. Juvenile prostitution is shown to us with a heartbreaking realism that provokes strong emotions, then reflection. We come out destabilized, but also alerted.
